cycling to Thanh Toan Village

The village and lagoon part I

Huế, renowned as the most royal city, has enough charm to keep you staying as long as you can afford the time to visit. Hue, the political, cultural and religious center of Vietnam under the control of Nguyen Dynast, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes and peaceful rural scenery will make your visit here memorable. You also discover more about the life of locals with traditional living style back to early 20th Century during your visit.


Day 1: Hue – Dam Chuon Village

Start riding to Thanh Toan village on the little and narrow countryside roads and crossing the river and canals with some little bridges, paddy fields, as well gardens of pumpkins and duck farms.
You reach Thanh Toan lite-roofed Bridge, a popular destination for tourists. You can ride around the village and enjoy its tranquility. You can also visit the most interesting Agriculture museum in central Vietnam, displaying agricultural tools such as plows, harrows, sickles, scoops and rice mills.

You can visit local market and experience local people’s daily activities. You can see the made-by-hand stuffs for kitchen, farming and harvesting. Rowing boats, fishing in the river, visiting local houses are great outdoors activities in your visit.

You can take part in “Lunch memo cooking class” to make Hue Spring roll, Pan Cake and Hue Noodle soup.

In the afternoon, you follow trails to the Imperial Families Temple “ Phu Ton That Thuyet” One of Vietnamese high rank mandarin in late 19 century who was strongly again French colonist in Vietnam at the time. You will learn more about Vietnam and the Nguyen Royal families over here, talking to one of the descendant before riding to Dam Chuon Village.
Spend your time watching the sunset over the lagoon while enjoying your dinner on the stilt house in the lagoon.

Day 2: Dam Chuon – Ganh Lang
After breakfast, We will go by boat across the lagoon through narrow gate way of fishing net and fish traps the boat take your to Ru Cha Mangrove forest, one of the well-known location by, climb up the tower from the top you will have the best view of all Lagoon, take some good photos before we leave the place.

 Lunch is served on one nice beach. In the afternoon we visit An Bang cemetery the most extraordinary one in Vietnam. At this place you will understand more about Vietnamese ancestor worshiping.

We continue drive to visit Mount Tuy Van where the Thanh Duyen Pagoda is one of the most 20 beautiful places of Hue, must be visited, confirmed by the 3rd Emperor of Nguyen Dynasty.

Our boat will pick you up and spend about an hour on lagoon for your fishing experience, by catching and collecting fish just like a local.
About 6PM you check in our local house at Ganh Lang Village, the village is managed by Hue Cua Ta JSC and sponsored by Lux Dev’s project name VIE/033 in support locals to Climate change and helping locals to improve living skills.

Have dinner and spend your night with a family.

Day 3: Ganh Lang – Chuoi Beach – Lang Co

After breakfast, our Local guide takes you to visit the old Mile Stone which was built under Minh Mang Emperor, then to the Tomb of Emperor’s wife.  You then could walk in the village to visit other local house and families that making fishnet, cooking rice wine or just spend your time with some local kids at the coffee shop

10 am we say good bye to local host and drive to Lang Co beach, where we could take a fast boat to the exotic beach “ Bai Chuoi” just relax and enjoy your snorkeling, watching for coral reefs. Lunch on the beach, relax.

In the late afternoon the boat then take your one more round inside the Da Nag bay, say hello to Danang before we head back to your resort.

 Day 4: Lang Co – Hoi An
you have a whole morning free,
Afternoon we check out and drive you to Hoi An, en route we drive to top of ha Van pass, where you could make the best view over Hue and Danang city in the South. driving down the hai Van pass you enjoy some of the best and refreshing landscape our driver keep drive you to Hoi An ancient town.
