Thuan An beach
On the journey to Hue in the Central Vietnam, those who love beach stil has a chance to go to Thuan An Beach as it is easy and takes you through some nice villages and countryside. Even the beach is not considered as nice as those further south around Hoi An, but in the the summber Thuan An still one of the most authentic beach that shhould not miss.
Thuan An is 14 kilometres from Hue and there are some nice villages along the way, including a well marked former residence of Uncle Ho (the second in Hue) in a place called Phu Duong.
In 1883, a French expeditionary force landed on Thuan An beach and with some fairly forceful persuasion consolidated the partition of Vietnam after decades of encroachment and harassment.
